"banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale"
- Thomas Jefferson (from his personal letters).
Q: WAS JEFFERSON THAT WISE? A: YES
Q: ARE AMERICANS BEING SWINDLED BY THE OWNERS OF THEIR MONEY?
A: OF COURSE THEY ARE. THAT IS THE WAY THE 'SYSTEM' WORKS
5*!
END THE FED
Move the Country Forward
"What the world refers to as the 'Federal Reserve Bank' or 'America’s central bank' – all while believing it’s a U.S. government body – is in fact a private enterprise system, secretly designed by bankers and their pet politicians .. in 1910 .. The dollars in your pocket are printed by the U.S. Treasury and signed by the Secretary of the Treasury to impart the Treasury Department’s legitimacy, but they are neither issued nor owned by the U.S. Treasury or the United States of America .. The dollars in your pocket are Federal Reserve Notes. It says so on the top of every bill. Read it and weep.
The Fed owns the money of this country, and by extension, it owns the country."

As I have observed on numerous other occasions, this "quote" is not genuine:

It is a shame to see a bogus statement presented as if it were really said by the Founding Father.

ROMEMAN Thank you. It has been changed. The verifiable quote from his letter to Taylor is plenty damning on the Federal Reserve System
